The Help (Movie Tie-In) by Kathryn Stockett

This movie time frame dates back to the civil rights movement. As the pictures show, it depicts the pain and humiliation that the maids were subject to.
Stockett has done a marvelous and enigmatic work by depicting each character in a beautiful way in an era that was not so beautiful to remember. But here, we can catch the humor and the irony surrounding the story.
There have been many books written by collecting stories from slaves, but this one differs by the lack of stereotypes. All the characters are respected and well presented.
It is a must read.
